² H6680Command[H8761] H1121the childrenH3478of IsraelH5414, that they give[H8804] H3881unto the LevitesH5159of the inheritanceH272of their possessionH5892citiesH3427to dwell in[H8800] H5414; and ye shall give[H8799] H3881also unto the LevitesH4054suburbsH5892for the citiesH5439round about them.

³ H5892And the citiesH3427shall they have to dwell in[H8800] H4054; and the suburbsH929of them shall be for their cattleH7399, and for their goodsH2416, and for all their beasts.

⁴ H4054And the suburbsH5892of the citiesH5414, which ye shall give[H8799] H3881unto the LevitesH7023, shall reach from the wallH5892of the cityH2351and outwardH505a thousandH520cubitsH5439round about.

⁵ H4058And ye shall measure[H8804] H2351from withoutH5892the cityH6924on the eastH6285sideH505two thousandH520cubitsH5045, and on the southH6285sideH505two thousandH520cubitsH3220, and on the westH6285sideH505two thousandH520cubitsH6828, and on the northH6285sideH505two thousandH520cubitsH5892; and the cityH8432shall be in the midstH4054: this shall be to them the suburbsH5892of the cities.

⁶ H5892And among the citiesH5414which ye shall give[H8799] H3881unto the LevitesH8337there shall be sixH5892citiesH4733for refugeH5414, which ye shall appoint[H8799] H7523for the manslayer[H8802] H5127, that he may flee[H8800] H5414thither: and to them ye shall add[H8799] H705fortyH8147and twoH5892cities.

⁷ H5892So all the citiesH5414which ye shall give[H8799] H3881to the LevitesH705shall be fortyH8083and eightH5892citiesH4054: them shall ye give with their suburbs.

⁸ H5892And the citiesH5414which ye shall give[H8799] H272shall be of the possessionH1121of the childrenH3478of IsraelH7227: from them that have manyH7235ye shall give many[H8686] H4592; but from them that have fewH4591ye shall give few[H8686] H376: every oneH5414shall give[H8799] H5892of his citiesH3881unto the LevitesH6310accordingH5159to his inheritanceH5157which he inheriteth[H8799] .

⁹ H3068And the LORDH1696spake[H8762] H4872unto MosesH559, saying[H8800] ,

¹⁰ H1696Speak[H8761] H1121unto the childrenH3478of IsraelH559, and say[H8804] H5674unto them, When ye be come over[H8802] H3383JordanH776into the landH3667of Canaan;

¹¹ H7136Then ye shall appoint[H8689] H5892you citiesH5892to be citiesH4733of refugeH7523for you; that the slayer[H8802] H5127may flee[H8804] H5221thither, which killeth[H8688] H5315any personH7684at unawares.

¹² H5892And they shall be unto you citiesH4733for refugeH1350from the avenger[H8802] H7523; that the manslayer[H8802] H4191die[H8799] H5975not, until he stand[H8800] H6440beforeH5712the congregationH4941in judgment.

¹³ H5892And of these citiesH5414which ye shall give[H8799] H8337sixH5892citiesH4733shall ye have for refuge.

¹⁴ H5414Ye shall give[H8799] H7969threeH5892citiesH5676on this sideH3383JordanH7969, and threeH5892citiesH5414shall ye give[H8799] H776in the landH3667of CanaanH5892, which shall be citiesH4733of refuge.

¹⁵ H8337These sixH5892citiesH4733shall be a refugeH1121, both for the childrenH3478of IsraelH1616, and for the strangerH8453, and for the sojournerH8432amongH5221them: that every one that killeth[H8688] H5315any personH7684unawaresH5127may flee[H8800]  thither.

¹⁶ H5221And if he smite[H8689] H3627him with an instrumentH1270of ironH4191, so that he die[H8799] H7523, he is a murderer[H8802] H7523: the murderer[H8802] H4191shall surely[H8800] H4191be put to death[H8714] .

¹⁷ H5221And if he smite[H8689] H3027him with throwingH68a stoneH4191, wherewith he may die[H8799] H4191, and he die[H8799] H7523, he is a murderer[H8802] H7523: the murderer[H8802] H4191shall surely[H8800] H4191be put to death[H8714] .

¹⁸ H5221Or if he smite[H8689] H3027him with an handH3627weaponH6086of woodH4191, wherewith he may die[H8799] H4191, and he die[H8799] H7523, he is a murderer[H8802] H7523: the murderer[H8802] H4191shall surely[H8800] H4191be put to death[H8714] .

¹⁹ H1350The revenger[H8802] H1818of bloodH4191himself shall slay[H8686] H7523the murderer[H8802] H6293: when he meeteth[H8800] H1931him, heH4191shall slay[H8686]  him.

²⁰ H1920But if he thrust[H8799] H8135him of hatredH7993, or hurl[H8689] H6660at him by laying of waitH4191, that he die[H8799] ;

²¹ H342Or in enmityH5221smite[H8689] H3027him with his handH4191, that he die[H8799] H5221: he that smote[H8688] H4191him shall surely[H8800] H4191be put to death[H8714] H7523; for he is a murderer[H8802] H1350: the revenger[H8802] H1818of bloodH4191shall slay[H8686] H7523the murderer[H8802] H6293, when he meeteth[H8800]  him.

²² H1920But if he thrust[H8804] H6621him suddenlyH3808withoutH342enmityH7993, or have cast[H8689] H3627upon him any thingH6660without laying of wait,

²³ H68Or with any stoneH4191, wherewith a man may die[H8799] H7200, seeing[H8800] H3808him notH5307, and cast[H8686] H4191it upon him, that he die[H8799] H341, and was not his enemy[H8802] H1245, neither sought[H8764] H7451his harm:

²⁴ H5712Then the congregationH8199shall judge[H8804] H5221between the slayer[H8688] H1350and the revenger[H8802] H1818of bloodH4941according to these judgments:

²⁵ H5712And the congregationH5337shall deliver[H8689] H7523the slayer[H8802] H3027out of the handH1350of the revenger[H8802] H1818of bloodH5712, and the congregationH7725shall restore[H8689] H5892him to the cityH4733of his refugeH5127, whither he was fled[H8804] H3427: and he shall abide[H8804] H4194in it unto the deathH1419of the highH3548priestH4886, which was anointed[H8804] H6944with the holyH8081oil.

²⁶ H7523But if the slayer[H8802] H3318shall at any time[H8800] H3318come[H8799] H1366without the borderH5892of the cityH4733of his refugeH5127, whither he was fled[H8799] ;

²⁷ H1350And the revenger[H8802] H1818of bloodH4672find[H8804] H2351him withoutH1366the bordersH5892of the cityH4733of his refugeH1350, and the revenger[H8802] H1818of bloodH7523kill[H8804] H7523the slayer[H8802] H1818; he shall not be guilty of blood:

²⁸ H3427Because he should have remained[H8799] H5892in the cityH4733of his refugeH4194until the deathH1419of the highH3548priestH310: but afterH4194the deathH1419of the highH3548priestH7523the slayer[H8802] H7725shall return[H8799] H776into the landH272of his possession.

²⁹ H2708So these things shall be for a statuteH4941of judgmentH1755unto you throughout your generationsH4186in all your dwellings.

³⁰ H5221Whoso killeth[H8688] H5315any personH7523, the murderer[H8802] H7523shall be put to death[H8799] H6310by the mouthH5707of witnessesH259: but oneH5707witnessH6030shall not testify[H8799] H5315against any personH4191to cause him to die[H8800] .

³¹ H3947Moreover ye shall take[H8799] H3724no satisfactionH5315for the lifeH7523of a murderer[H8802] H7563, which is guiltyH4191of death[H8800] H4191: but he shall be surely[H8800] H4191put to death[H8714] .

³² H3947And ye shall take[H8799] H3724no satisfactionH5127for him that is fled[H8800] H5892to the cityH4733of his refugeH7725, that he should come again[H8800] H3427to dwell[H8800] H776in the landH4194, until the deathH3548of the priest.

³³ H2610So ye shall not pollute[H8686] H776the landH1818wherein ye are : for bloodH2610it defileth[H8686] H776the landH776: and the landH3722cannot be cleansed[H8792] H1818of the bloodH8210that is shed[H8795] H1818therein, but by the bloodH8210of him that shed[H8802]  it.

³⁴ H2930Defile[H8762] H776not therefore the landH3427which ye shall inhabit[H8802] H8432, whereinH7931I dwell[H8802] H3068: for I the LORDH7931dwell[H8802] H8432amongH1121the childrenH3478of Israel.
