¹ H6965If there arise[H8799] H7130amongH5030you a prophetH2492, or a dreamer[H8802] H2472of dreamsH5414, and giveth[H8804] H226thee a signH4159or a wonder,

² H226And the signH4159or the wonderH935come to pass[H8804] H1696, whereof he spake[H8765] H559unto thee, saying[H8800] H3212, Let us go[H8799] H310afterH312otherH430godsH3045, which thou hast not known[H8804] H5647, and let us serve[H8714]  them;

³ H8085Thou shalt not hearken[H8799] H1697unto the wordsH5030of that prophetH2492, or that dreamer[H8802] H2472of dreamsH3068: for the LORDH430your GodH5254proveth[H8764] H3045you, to know[H8800] H3426whether yeH157love[H8802] H3068the LORDH430your GodH3824with all your heartH5315and with all your soul.

⁴ H3212Ye shall walk[H8799] H310afterH3068the LORDH430your GodH3372, and fear[H8799] H8104him, and keep[H8799] H4687his commandmentsH8085, and obey[H8799] H6963his voiceH5647, and ye shall serve[H8799] H1692him, and cleave[H8799]  unto him.

⁵ H5030And that prophetH2492, or that dreamer[H8802] H2472of dreamsH4191, shall be put to death[H8714] H1696; because he hath spoken[H8765] H5627to turnH3068you away from the LORDH430your GodH3318, which brought you out[H8688] H776of the landH4714of EgyptH6299, and redeemed[H8802] H1004you out of the houseH5650of bondageH5080, to thrust[H8687] H1870thee out of the wayH3068which the LORDH430thy GodH6680commanded[H8765] H3212thee to walk in[H8800] H1197. So shalt thou putH7451the evilH1197away[H8765] H7130from the midst of thee.

⁶ H251If thy brotherH1121, the sonH517of thy motherH1121, or thy sonH1323, or thy daughterH802, or the wifeH2436of thy bosomH7453, or thy friendH5315, which is as thine own soulH5496, entice[H8686] H5643thee secretlyH559, saying[H8800] H3212, Let us go[H8799] H5647and serve[H8799] H312otherH430godsH3045, which thou hast not known[H8804] H1, thou, nor thy fathers;

⁷ H430Namely, of the godsH5971of the peopleH5439which are round aboutH7138you, nighH7350unto thee, or far offH7097from thee, from the one endH776of the earthH7097even unto the other endH776of the earth;

⁸ H14Thou shalt not consent[H8799] H8085unto him, nor hearken[H8799] H5869unto him; neither shall thine eyeH2347pity[H8799] H2550him, neither shalt thou spare[H8799] H3680, neither shalt thou conceal[H8762]  him:

⁹ H2026But thou shalt surely[H8800] H2026kill[H8799] H3027him; thine handH7223shall be firstH4191upon him to put him to death[H8687] H314, and afterwardsH3027the handH5971of all the people.

¹⁰ H5619And thou shalt stone[H8804] H68him with stonesH4191, that he die[H8804] H1245; because he hath sought[H8765] H5080to thrust thee away[H8687] H3068from the LORDH430thy GodH3318, which brought thee out[H8688] H776of the landH4714of EgyptH1004, from the houseH5650of bondage.

¹¹ H3478And all IsraelH8085shall hear[H8799] H3372, and fear[H8799] H6213, and shall do[H8800] H3254no more[H8686] H1697anyH7451such wickednessH7130as this is among you.

¹² H8085If thou shalt hear[H8799] H259say in oneH5892of thy citiesH3068, which the LORDH430thy GodH5414hath given[H8802] H3427thee to dwell[H8800] H559there, saying[H8800] ,

¹³ H582Certain menH1121, the childrenH1100of BelialH3318, are gone out[H8804] H7130from amongH5080you, and have withdrawn[H8686] H3427the inhabitants[H8802] H5892of their cityH559, saying[H8800] H3212, Let us go[H8799] H5647and serve[H8799] H312otherH430godsH3045, which ye have not known[H8804] ;

¹⁴ H1875Then shalt thou enquire[H8804] H2713, and make search[H8804] H7592, and ask[H8804] H3190diligently[H8687] H571; and, behold, if it be truthH1697, and the thingH3559certain[H8737] H2063, that suchH8441abominationH6213is wrought[H8738] H7130among you;

¹⁵ H5221Thou shalt surely[H8687] H5221smite[H8686] H3427the inhabitants[H8802] H5892of that cityH6310with the edgeH2719of the swordH2763, destroying it utterly[H8685] H929, and all that is therein, and the cattleH6310thereof, with the edgeH2719of the sword.

¹⁶ H6908And thou shalt gather[H8799] H7998all the spoilH8432of it into the midstH7339of the streetH8313thereof, and shalt burn[H8804] H784with fireH5892the cityH7998, and all the spoilH3632thereof every whitH3068, for the LORDH430thy GodH8510: and it shall be an heapH5769for everH1129; it shall not be built again[H8735] .

¹⁷ H1692And there shall cleave[H8799] H3972noughtH2764of the cursed thingH3027to thine handH3068: that the LORDH7725may turn[H8799] H2740from the fiercenessH639of his angerH5414, and shew[H8804] H7356thee mercyH7355, and have compassion[H8765] H7235upon thee, and multiply[H8689] H7650thee, as he hath sworn[H8738] H1unto thy fathers;

¹⁸ H8085When thou shalt hearken[H8799] H6963to the voiceH3068of the LORDH430thy GodH8104, to keep[H8800] H4687all his commandmentsH6680which I command[H8764] H3117thee this dayH6213, to do[H8800] H3477that which is rightH5869in the eyesH3068of the LORDH430thy God.
