Daniel 5 - King James Bible with Strong Numbers

H1113BelshazzarH4430the kingH5648made[H8754] H7229a greatH3900feastH506to a thousandH7261of his lordsH8355, and drank[H8750] H2562wineH6903beforeH506the thousand.

H1113BelshazzarH2942, whiles he tastedH2562the wineH560, commanded[H8754] H858to bring[H8682] H1722the goldenH3702and silverH3984vesselsH2which his fatherH5020NebuchadnezzarH5312had taken[H8684] H4481out ofH1965the templeH3390which was in JerusalemH4430; that the kingH7261, and his princesH7695, his wivesH3904, and his concubinesH8355, might drink[H8748]  therein.

H116ThenH858they brought[H8684] H1722the goldenH3984vesselsH5312that were taken[H8684] H4481out ofH1965the templeH1005of the houseH426of GodH3390which was at JerusalemH4430; and the kingH7261, and his princesH7695, his wivesH3904, and his concubinesH8355, drank[H8754]  in them.

H8355They drank[H8754] H2562wineH7624, and praised[H8745] H426the godsH1722of goldH3702, and of silverH5174, of brassH6523, of ironH636, of woodH69, and of stone.

H8160In the same hourH5312came forth[H8754] H677fingersH606of a man'sH3028handH3790, and wrote[H8751] H6903over againstH5043the candlestickH5922uponH1528the plaisterH3797of the wallH4430of the king'sH1965palaceH4430: and the kingH2370saw[H8751] H6447the partH3028of the handH3790that wrote[H8751] .

H116ThenH4430the king'sH2122countenanceH8133was changed[H8754] H7476, and his thoughtsH927troubled[H8792] H7001him, so that the jointsH2783of his loinsH8271were loosed[H8723] H755, and his kneesH5368smote[H8750] H1668oneH1668against another.

H4430The kingH7123cried[H8748] H2429aloudH5954to bring[H8682] H826in the astrologersH3779, the ChaldeansH1505, and the soothsayers[H8750] H4430. And the kingH6032spake[H8750] H560, and said[H8750] H2445to the wiseH895men of BabylonH606, WhosoeverH3606 H7123shall read[H8751] H1836thisH3792writingH2324, and shew[H8741] H6591me the interpretationH3848thereof, shall be clothed[H8748] H711with scarletH2002, and have a chainH1722of goldH5922aboutH6676his neckH8523, and shall be the thirdH7981ruler[H8748] H4437in the kingdom.

H116ThenH5954came[H8750] H3606in allH4430the king'sH2445wiseH3546men : but they could[H8751] H3809notH7123read[H8749] H3792the writingH3046, nor make known[H8682] H4430to the kingH6591the interpretation thereof.

H116ThenH4430was kingH1113BelshazzarH7690greatlyH927troubled[H8727] H2122, and his countenanceH8133was changed[H8750] H5922in himH7261, and his lordsH7672were astonied[H8723] .

H4433Now the queenH6903, by reasonH4406of the wordsH4430of the kingH7261and his lordsH5954, came[H8754] H4961into the banquetH1005houseH4433: and the queenH6032spake[H8754] H560and said[H8754] H4430, O kingH2418, live[H8747] H5957for everH409: let notH7476thy thoughtsH927trouble[H8792] H2122thee, nor let thy countenanceH8133be changed[H8721] :

H383There isH1400a manH4437in thy kingdomH7308, in whom is the spiritH6922of the holyH426godsH3118; and in the daysH2of thy fatherH5094lightH7924and understandingH2452and wisdomH2452, like the wisdomH426of the godsH7912, was found[H8728] H4430in him; whom the kingH5020NebuchadnezzarH2thy fatherH4430, the kingH2, I say, thy fatherH6966, made[H8684] H7229masterH2749of the magiciansH826, astrologersH3779, ChaldeansH1505, and soothsayers[H8750] ;

H6903Forasmuch asH3606 H3493an excellentH7308spiritH4486, and knowledgeH7924, and understandingH6590, interpreting[H8743] H2493of dreamsH263, and shewingH280of hard sentencesH8271, and dissolving[H8743] H7001of doubtsH7912, were found[H8728] H1841in the same DanielH4430, whom the kingH7761named[H8754] H8036 H1096BelteshazzarH3705: nowH1841let DanielH7123be called[H8729] H2324, and he will shew[H8681] H6591the interpretation.

H116ThenH1841was DanielH5954brought in[H8717] H6925beforeH4430the kingH4430. And the kingH6032spake[H8750] H560and said[H8750] H1841unto DanielH607, Art thouH1841that DanielH4481, which art ofH1123the childrenH1547of the captivityH3061of JudahH4430, whom the kingH2my fatherH858brought[H8684] H4481out ofH3061Jewry?

H8086I have even heard[H8754] H7308of thee, that the spiritH426of the godsH5922is in theeH5094, and that lightH7924and understandingH3493and excellentH2452wisdomH7912is found[H8728]  in thee.

H3705And nowH2445the wiseH826men, the astrologersH5954, have been brought[H8717] H6925in beforeH7123me, that they should read[H8748] H1836thisH3792writingH3046, and make known[H8682] H6591unto me the interpretationH3546thereof: but they could[H8751] H3809notH2324shew[H8682] H6591the interpretationH4406of the thing:

H576And IH8086have heard[H8754] H5922of theeH3202, that thou canst[H8748] H6590make[H8749] H6591interpretationsH8271, and dissolve[H8749] H7001doubtsH3705: nowH2006ifH3202thou canst[H8748] H7123read[H8749] H3792the writingH3046, and make known[H8682] H6591to me the interpretationH3848thereof, thou shalt be clothed[H8748] H711with scarletH2002, and have a chainH1722of goldH5922aboutH6676thy neckH8531, and shalt be the thirdH7981ruler[H8748] H4437in the kingdom.

H116ThenH1841DanielH6032answered[H8750] H560and said[H8750] H6925beforeH4430the kingH4978, Let thy giftsH1934be[H8748] H3052to thyself, and give[H8747] H5023thy rewardsH321to anotherH1297; yetH7123I will read[H8748] H3792the writingH4430unto the kingH3046, and make known[H8681] H6591to him the interpretation.

H607O thouH4430kingH5943, the most highH426GodH3052gave[H8754] H5020NebuchadnezzarH2thy fatherH4437a kingdomH7238, and majestyH3367, and gloryH1923, and honour:

H4481And forH7238the majestyH3052that he gave[H8754] H3606him, allH5972peopleH524, nationsH3961, and languagesH1934, trembled[H8754] H2112 H1763and feared[H8751] H4481beforeH6925himH1934: whom he would[H8754] H6634 [H8750] H1934he slew[H8754] H6992 [H8751] H1934; and whom he would[H8754] H6634 [H8750] H1934he kept alive[H8754] H2418 [H8683] H1934; and whom he would[H8754] H6634 [H8750] H1934he set up[H8754] H7313 [H8683] H1934; and whom he would[H8754] H6634 [H8750] H1934he put down[H8754] H8214 [H8683] .

H3825But when his heartH7313was lifted up[H8752] H7308, and his mindH8631hardened[H8748] H2103in pride[H8682] H5182, he was deposed[H8717] H4481fromH4437his kinglyH3764throneH5709, and they took[H8684] H3367his gloryH4481from him:

H2957And he was driven[H8752] H4481fromH1123the sonsH606of menH3825; and his heartH7739was made[H8745] H5974likeH2423the beastsH4070, and his dwellingH6167was with the wild assesH2939: they fed[H8748] H6211him with grassH8450like oxenH1655, and his bodyH6647was wet[H8721] H2920with the dewH8065of heavenH5705; tillH3046he knew[H8754] H5943that the most highH426GodH7990ruledH4437in the kingdomH606of menH6966, and that he appointeth[H8681] H5922overH4479it whomsoeverH6634he will[H8748] .

H607And thouH1247his sonH1113, O BelshazzarH3809, hast notH8214humbled[H8684] H3825thine heartH6903, thoughH3046thou knewest[H8754] H3606allH1836this;

H7313But hast lifted up[H8712] H5922thyself againstH4756the LordH8065of heavenH858; and they have brought[H8684] H3984the vesselsH1005of his houseH6925beforeH607thee, and thouH7261, and thy lordsH7695, thy wivesH3904, and thy concubinesH8355, have drunk[H8750] H2562wineH7624in them; and thou hast praised[H8745] H426the godsH3702of silverH1722, and goldH5174, of brassH6523, ironH636, woodH69, and stoneH2370, which see[H8751] H3809notH3809, norH8086hear[H8750] H3809, norH3046know[H8751] H426: and the GodH3028in whose handH5396thy breathH3606is, and whose are allH735thy waysH3809, hast thou notH1922glorified[H8745] :

H116ThenH6447was the partH3028of the handH7972sent[H8750] H4481fromH6925himH1836; and thisH3792writingH7560was written[H8752] .

H1836And thisH3792is the writingH7560that was written[H8752] H4484, MENE[H8752] H4484, MENE[H8752] H8625, TEKEL[H8752] H6537, UPHARSIN[H8751] .

H1836ThisH6591is the interpretationH4406of the thingH4484: MENE[H8752] H426; GodH4483hath numbered[H8754] H4437thy kingdomH8000, and finished[H8684]  it.

H8625TEKEL[H8752] H8625; Thou art weighed[H8760] H3977in the balancesH7912, and art found[H8728] H2627wanting.

H6537PERES[H8752] H4437; Thy kingdomH6537is divided[H8752] H3052, and given[H8753] H4076to the MedesH6540and Persians.

H116ThenH560commanded[H8754] H1113BelshazzarH3848, and they clothed[H8684] H1841DanielH711with scarletH2002, and put a chainH1722of goldH5922aboutH6676his neckH3745, and made a proclamation[H8684] H5922concerningH1934him, that he should be[H8748] H8531the thirdH7990rulerH4437in the kingdom.

H3916In that nightH1113was BelshazzarH4430the kingH3779of the ChaldeansH6992slain[H8752] .

H1868And DariusH4077the MedianH6902took[H8745] H4437the kingdomH8361, being about threescoreH8648and twoH8140yearsH1247old.
