¹ The Lord rules, and the earth is happy.\par All the faraway lands are happy.\par

² Thick dark clouds surround the Lord.\par Goodness and justice make his kingdom strong.\par

³ A fire goes in front of the Lord\par and destroys his enemies.\par

⁴ His lightning flashes in the sky.\par The people see it and are afraid.\par

⁵ The mountains melt like wax\par before the Lord, the Master of the earth.\par

⁶ Skies, tell about his goodness!\par Let every person see God’s glory!\par

⁷ People worship their idols.\par They brag about their “gods.”\par But those people will be embarrassed.\par Their “gods” will bow down\par and worship the Lord.\par

⁸ Zion, {\cf2\super [530]} listen and be happy!\par Cities of Judah, be happy!\par Why? Because the Lord makes wise decisions.\par

⁹ Lord Most-High, you really are\par the ruler of the earth.\par You are much better than the “gods.”\par

¹⁰ People who love the Lord hate evil.\par So God saves his followers.\par God saves his followers from evil people.\par

¹¹ Light and happiness shine on good people.\par

¹² Good people, be happy in the Lord!\par Honor his holy name!\par
