All the people who lived in the area around the Mediterranean Sea came from these sons of Japheth. Each son had his own land. All the families grew and became different nations. Each nation had its own language.


Obey the Lord with much fear.\par


The Lord is King.\par He wears majesty and strength like clothes.\par He is ready,\par so the whole world is safe.\par It will not be shaken (destroyed).\par


The Lord is King.\par So let the nations shake with fear.\par God sits as King above the Cherub angels. {\cf2\super [532]} \par So let the world shake with fear.\par


At that time, my Master (God) will again reach out and take his people that are left. This will be the second time God has done this. \{(These are God’s people that are left in countries like Assyria, North Egypt, South Egypt, Ethiopia, Elam, Babylonia, Hamath, and all the faraway countries around the world.)


All you faraway places,\par look, and be afraid!\par All you places far away on the earth,\par shake with fear!\par Come here \{and listen to me\}!”\par And they came.\par


He will not become weak\par or be crushed until he brings\par justice to the world.\par And people in faraway places\par will trust his teachings.”\par


All you people in faraway places,\par listen to me!\par Listen all of you people living on earth!\par The Lord called me to serve him\par before I was born.\par The Lord called my name\par while I was still in my mother’s body.\par


Heavens and Earth, be happy!\par Mountains, shout with joy!\par Why? Because the Lord comforts his people.\par The Lord is good to his poor people.\par


I will soon show I am fair.\par I will soon save you.\par I will use my power and judge all nations.\par All the faraway places are waiting for me.\par They wait for my power to help them.\par


The faraway lands are waiting for me.\par The great cargo ships are ready to sail.\par Those ships are ready to bring\par your children from faraway lands.\par They will bring silver and gold with them\par to honor the Lord your God,\par the Holy One of Israel.\par The Lord does wonderful things for you.\par


I will put a mark on some of the people—\{I will save them\}. I will send some of these saved people to the nations Tarshish, {\cf2\super [480]} Libya, {\cf2\super [481]} Lud {\cf2\super [482]} (the land of archers {\cf2\super [483]}), Tubal, {\cf2\super [484]} Greece, and all the faraway lands. Those people have never heard my teachings. Those people have never seen my Glory. {\cf2\super [485]} So the saved people will tell the nations about my glory.


Those people will be afraid of the Lord! Why? Because the Lord will destroy their gods. Then all the people in all the faraway lands will worship the Lord.


And the Lord will be the King of the whole world at that time. The Lord is One. His name is One.


John the Baptizer is the one that Isaiah the prophet {\cf2\super [34]} was talking about. Isaiah said:


We pray that your kingdom will come,\par and that the things you want\par will be done here on earth,\par the same as in heaven.\par


Don’t let us be tempted (tested);\par but save us from the Evil One\par (the devil).’ {\cf2\super [77]} \par


God bless the kingdom of our father David. {\cf2\super [140]} \par That kingdom is coming!\par Praise {\cf2\super [141]} to God in heaven!”\par


God made us free from the power of darkness (evil). And he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Jesus).
