Psalm 53 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Only a fool {\cf2\super [319]} thinks there is no God.\par People like that are corrupt, evil, malicious,\par and they don’t do anything good.\par

² There really is a God in heaven\par watching over us.\par God is looking for wise people\par who are looking for God!\par

³ But everyone has turned away from God.\par Every person is bad.\par No person does anything good.\par No, not one person!\par

⁴ God says,\par “Surely those evil people know the truth!\par But they don’t pray to me.\par Evil people are as ready to destroy\par my people as they are to eat food.”\par

⁵ But those evil people will be scared,\par like they have never been scared before!\par Those evil people are Israel’s enemies.\par God has rejected those evil people.\par So God’s people will defeat them,\par and God will scatter the bones\par of those evil people.\par

⁶ I wish someone (God) on Mount Zion\par would bring victory to Israel!\par At the time God brings his people back from exile. {\cf2\super [320]} \par Jacob will rejoice.\par Israel will be very happy.\par
