Psalm 52 - Easy To Read Version

¹ Big man, why do you brag about\par the bad things you do?\par You are a continual disgrace to God.\par

² You make foolish plans\par and your tongue is as dangerous\par as a sharp razor.\par You are always lying\par and trying to cheat people!\par

³ You love evil more than goodness.\par You love lying more than telling the truth.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [312]})\i0 \par

⁴ You and your lying tongue\par love to hurt people.\par

⁵ So God will ruin you forever!\par He will grab you\par and pull you from your home, {\cf2\super [313]} \par like a person pulling a plant\par out of the ground, roots and all! {\cf2\super [314]} \par

⁶ Good people will see this\par and will learn to fear and respect God.\par They will laugh at you and say,\par

⁷ “Look what happened to the man\par who did not depend on God.\par That man thought his wealth and lies\par would protect him.”\par

⁸ But I am like a green olive tree\par growing in God’s temple.\par I will trust God’s true love\par forever and ever.\par

⁹ God, I praise you forever for the things\par you have done.\par I will speak your name {\cf2\super [315]} \par before your followers\par because it is so good!\par
