¹ God, there is a man who is not one of your loyal followers.\par That man is crooked and tells lies.\par God, save me from that man!\par Defend me and prove that I am right.\par

² God, you are my place of safety!\par Why did you leave me?\par Why must I suffer such sadness\par because of the cruelty of my enemy?\par

³ God, let your light and truth shine on me.\par Your light and truth will guide me.\par They will lead me to your holy mountain.\par They will lead me to your home.\par

⁴ I will come to God’s altar.\par I will come to the God who makes me\par so very happy.\par God, my God, I will praise you with\par a harp.\par

⁵ Why am I so sad?\par Why am I so upset?\par I should wait for God’s help.\par I will get the chance to praise God yet.\par He will save me!\par \par \par
