Psalm 142 - Easy To Read Version

¹ I will call to the Lord for help.\par I will pray to the Lord.\par

² I will tell the Lord about my problems.\par I will tell the Lord about my troubles.\par

³ My enemies have set a trap for me.\par I am ready to give up.\par But the Lord knows what is happening to me.\par

⁴ I look around,\par and I don’t see any of my friends.\par I have no place to run.\par No person is trying to save me.\par

⁵ So I cry to the Lord for help.\par Lord, you are my place of safety.\par Lord, you can let me continue to live.\par

⁶ Lord, listen to my prayer.\par I need you very much.\par Save me from the people who chase me.\par Those people are too strong for me.\par

⁷ Help me escape this trap {\cf2\super [643]} \par so I can praise your name.\par And good people will celebrate with me\par because you took care of me.\par
