Lord, you are my Rock, {\cf2\super [168]} \par I am calling to you for help.\par Don’t close your ears to my prayers.\par If you don’t answer my calls for help,\par then people will think I am no better\par than the dead people in the grave.\par


My heart breaks as I remember\par \{the good times I had at the temple\}:\par \{I remember\} passing through the crowds\par as I led them all up to God’s temple.\par \{I remember\} the happy songs of praise\par as the crowds celebrated the festivals.\par


People, trust God all the time!\par Tell God about all your problems. {\cf2\super [368]} \par God is our place of safety.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [369]})\i0 \par


Lord, people remember you\par when they are in trouble.\par People say quiet prayers to you\par when you punish them.\par


Also, the Spirit {\cf2\super [68]} helps us. We are very weak, but the Spirit helps us with our weakness. We don’t know how to pray like we should. But the Spirit himself speaks to God for us. The Spirit begs God for us. The Spirit speaks to God with deep feelings that words cannot explain.


While Christ lived on earth he prayed to God and asked God for help. God is the One who could save him from death, and Jesus prayed to God with loud cries and tears. And God answered Jesus’ prayers because Jesus was humble and did everything God wanted.
