But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You have been a helper to the victim and the fatherless.


For look, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrows on the strings, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.


He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himsefl in a way that is not good. Hᴇ doesn’t abhor evil.


Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.


“You must not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous.


for their feet run to evil. They hurry to shed blood.


For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.


He who walks righteously and speaks blamelessly, he who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing to take a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil—


For I know how many are y’all’s offenses, and how great are y’all’s sins— Oppressing the just, taking a bribe, turning away the needy in the courts.


Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe. The powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together.

You must not pervert justice. You must not show partiality. You must not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
