Where could I get meat to give all these people? For they weep before me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’
Moses said, “The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand men on foot; and you have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month.’
YHWH said to Moses, “Has YHWH’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.”
The disciples said to him, “Where could we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a crowd?”
But he answered them, “Y’all give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Should we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”
His disciples answered him, “Where could anyone get enough bread here in a deserted place to satisfy these people?”
Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years.”
Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have not been intimate with a man?”
“A boy is here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many?”
