They entered the house and saw the child with Mary, his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Opening their treasures, they presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Just then, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Simon answered, “I suppose the one he forgave more.” Jesus said to him, “You have judged correctly.”
Since they were not understanding God’s righteousness and were seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.
