They will not hunger or thirst; neither will the heat nor sun strike them, for ʜᴇ who has mercy on them will lead them. Hᴇ will guide them by springs of water.


However, since that person has no root, they are only temporary. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.


Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil. Immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil.


Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.


But when the sun had risen, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.


Those on the rocky soil are those who hear the word with joy when they hear it, but have no root. They believe for a while, but fall away in the time of temptation.


and that Christ may dwell in y’all’s hearts through faith, so that, being rooted and grounded in love,
