They shall not hunger, nor thirst: neither shall the heat nor the sun strike them. For he that is merciful to them shall be their shepherd, and at the fountains of waters he shall give them drink.


Yet hath he not root in himself, but is only for a time: and when there ariseth tribulation and persecution because of the word, he is presently scandalized.


And other some fell upon stony ground, where they had not much earth: and they sprung up immediately, because they had no deepness of earth.


And others fell among thorns: and the thorns grew up and choked them.


And when the sun was risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.


Now they upon the rock, are they who when they hear, receive the word with joy: and these have no roots; for they believe for a while, and in time of temptation, they fall away.


That Christ may dwell by faith in your hearts; that being rooted and founded in charity,


If so ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and immoveable from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which is preached in all the creation that is under heaven, whereof I Paul am made a minister.


Rooted and built up in him, and confirmed in the faith, as also you have learned, abounding in him in thanksgiving.


They shall no more hunger nor thirst, neither shall the sun fall on them, nor any heat.
