YHWH is your guardian. YHWH is your shade on your right hand.


The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.


I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah.


My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I come and appear before God?


God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.


Y’all don’t stare at me because I am dark, because the sun has scorched me. My mother’s sons were angry with me. They made me keeper of the vineyards. I haven’t kept my own vineyard.


For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the dreaded ones is like a storm against the wall.


Each of them will be like a shelter from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.


The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, YHWH, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.


They will not hunger or thirst; neither will the heat nor sun strike them, for ʜᴇ who has mercy on them will lead them. Hᴇ will guide them by springs of water.


Therefore Lord YHWH says, “Look! My servants will eat, but y’all will be hungry. Look! My servants will drink, but y’all will be thirsty. Look! My servants will rejoice, but y’all will be disappointed.


When the sun arose, God appointed a hot east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah’s head, so that he became faint. He begged with all his soul to die, saying, “It is better for me to die than to live.”


However, since that person has no root, they are only temporary. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away.


But when the sun had risen, they were scorched, and because they had no root, they withered away.


Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

For the sun rises with scorching wind and withers the grass. Then the flower falls, and its beautiful appearance is destroyed. So the rich person will also fade away in their pursuits.


Hᴇ will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will no longer exist. Mourning, crying, and pain will no longer exist. The first things have passed away.”
