Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, “I have given strength to the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.


The Spirit of YHWH will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YHWH.


“Look, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.


Look, my servant will deal wisely. He will be exalted and lifted up, and will be very high.


After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.


The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name, which YHWH’s mouth will name.


YHWH, my strength, my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and will say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.


Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you, are men who are a sign that I will bring out my servant, the Branch.


This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet,


While he was still speaking, a bright cloud suddenly overshadowed them. A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”


A voice came from the heavens, “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”


A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Y’all listen to him.”


The people stood by, watching. But the rulers ridiculed him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, ʜɪꜱ Chosen One!”

As y’all come to him, the living stone, rejected by humans but chosen and precious to God,


For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
