But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, as to how they might destroy him.


They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are truthful and that you teach the way of God in truth. You are not concerned about anyone because you don’t focus on the face of humans.


They sent some of the Pharisees and the Herodians to him, in order to trap him with words.


He warned them, saying, “Y’all watch out! Y’all beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”


The chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to eliminate Jesus, because they were afraid of the people.


But they were filled with rage, and they started to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.


So from that day forward they planned together to kill him.
