And they sent to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying: Master, we know that thou art a true speaker, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou dost not regard the person of men.


And they sent to him some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians; that they should catch him in his words.


And he charged them, saying: Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.


And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put Jesus to death: but they feared the people.


And they were filled with madness; and they talked one with another, what they might do to Jesus.


From that day therefore they devised to put him to death.


Who, by the Holy Ghost, by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, hast said: Why did the Gentiles rage, and the people meditate vain things?
