Then he said to Gehazi, “Tuck your cloak into your belt, take my staff in your hand, and go your way. If you meet any man, don’t greet him; and if anyone greets you, don’t answer him again. Then lay my staff on the boy’s face.”


They left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.


When Jesus finished saying these things, the crowds were astonished at his teaching,


But y’all must go and tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He goes before y’all into Galilee. There you* will see him, just as he told y’all.’”


[Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.


Y’all shouldn’t bring a money belt or bag or sandals. And y’all shouldn’t greet anyone on the way.


But they were startled and terrified, and they thought they were seeing a ghost.
