“What do y’all think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “The son of David.”


But Jesus stayed silent. The high priest answered him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”


If y’all only greet your* siblings, what more do y’all do than others? Don’t even the ethnic groups do the same?


But he kept silent and did not answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?”


He continued to question them, “But who do y’all say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”


“If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I do tell y’all, y’all won’t believe,


They answered, “Some say ‘John the Baptizer,’ but others, ‘Elijah,’ and still others, that one of the ancient prophets has risen again.”


Right away, he found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is translated means Christ).


Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Israel!”


She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God’s Son, he who comes into the world.”


but these have been written so that y’all may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing y’all may have life in his name.


“Come y’all, see a human who told me everything that I have done. Can this be the Christ?”
