Yet the righteous will hold to his way. He who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.


Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners will be converted to you.


They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appears before God in Zion.


He gives strength to those who are tired. He increases the power of the powerless.


because I will give y’all such words and wisdom that all y’all’s adversaries will not be able to resist or refute.


explaining and proving that the Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead, “This Jesus I am proclaiming to y’all is the Christ.”


When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself to preaching the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.


After appointing a day for him, they came to his lodging in even larger numbers. He explained to them from morning until evening, testifying about the Empire of God, working to persuade them about Jesus from the law of Moses and the prophets.


Immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed that Jesus is the Son of God.


All who heard him were amazed and said, “Isn’t this the man who was ravaging those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and who came here intending to chain them and bring them before the chief priests?”


After many days had passed, the Jews conspired together to kill him,


But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He recounted how Saul had seen the Lord on the road, and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.


But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.


Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and stayed with him for fifteen days.


I can do all things through him who strengthens me.


I thank the one who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to deacon-work,
