Then the whole city came out to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged him to depart from their borders.
Whoever listens to y’all listens to me, and whoever rejects y’all rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects ʜɪᴍ who sent me.”
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’s knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.”
When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, shouting with a loud voice, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”
Those who had seen it told them how the demon-possessed man had been made well.
But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
Wherever they don’t receive y’all, when y’all leave that town, shake off the dust from y’all’s feet as a testimony against them.”
They came to appease them, and after they escorted them out, they asked them to leave the city.
Now therefore, why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear YHWH our God’s voice any more, then we will die.
The men of Beth Shemesh said, “Who is able to stand before YHWH, this holy God? To whom will it go from us?”
