Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of YHWH which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover, “For there will be peace and truth in my days.”
“I have struck down y’all’s children in vain. They received no correction. Y’all’s own sword has devoured your* prophets, like a destroying lion.
But if they had stood in my council, then they would have caused my people to hear my words, and would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets: “This man is not worthy of death; for he has spoken to us in the name of YHWH our God.”

Y’all should rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because y’all’s reward is great in heaven. For their ancestors treated the prophets the same way.

Which one of the prophets didn’t y’all’s ancestors persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers y’all have now become!
Y’all should remember your* leaders, who spoke the word of God to y’all. Consider the result of their conduct, and then y’all imitate that faith.
Y’all must not speak against one another, siblings. Anyone who speaks against a sibling and judges them, speaks against the law, and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.
Is anyone among y’all suffering? Let them pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let them play an instrument.
Y’all be patient then, siblings, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rain.
Don’t y’all grumble against one another, my siblings, so that y’all won’t be judged. Look, the judge is standing at the door!
