For I earnestly protested to y’all’s ancestors in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt until today day, rising early and warning, “Y’all must listen my voice.”


You are to say to the king and to the queen mother, “Y’all must take a humble seat. for y’all’s crowns of majestic beauty have come down from your* heads.


“As I live,” says the King, whose name is YHWH Almighty, “surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so he will come.


So Bethel will do to y’all because of y’all’s wicked wickedness. At daybreak the king of Israel will be destroyed-destroyed.


I will meet them like a bear that is bereaved of her cubs, and will tear the covering of their heart. There I will devour them like a lioness. The wild animal will tear them.


Children of Israel, y’all must listen to the word of YHWH, for YHWH has a charge against the inhabitants of the land: “Indeed there is no truth, nor goodness, nor knowledge of God in the land.


As gangs of robbers wait to ambush a man, so the company of priests murder on the path toward Shechem, committing shameful crimes.


A prophet watches over Ephraim with my God. A fowler’s snare is on all of his paths, and hostility in the house of his God.


Y’all hear this, elders, and y’all listen, all inhabitants of the land! Has this ever happened in y’all’s days, or in the days of y’all’s fathers?


Y’all must listen this word that YHWH has spoken against y’all, children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:


The high places of Isaac will be desolate, the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.”


I said, “Y’all must listen now, heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: Shouldn’t y’all know justice?


Y’all listen to this, heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice, and twist everything right,


The godly man has perished out of the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; every man hunts his brother with a net.


“A son honors his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, then where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says YHWH Almighty to y’all priests who despise my name. “Y’all ask, ‘How have we despised your name?’”


“And now, this commandment is for y’all, O priests.


They told Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.


She sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh Naphtali and said to him, “Hasn’t YHWH, the God of Israel, commanded, ‘Go and lead the way to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men from the children of Naphtali and the children of Zebulun?


He went from year to year in a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah; and he judged Israel in all those places.


Samuel said, “Y’all gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to YHWH for y’all.”


They gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before YHWH, and fasted on that day, and said there, “We have sinned against YHWH.” Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah.
