1 Samuel 7:6 - Y'all Version Bible

and Mizpah, for he said, “May YHWH watch between me and you, when we are absent one from another.


For we must die, and are like water spilled on the ground, which can’t be gathered up again; neither does God take away life, but devises means, that he who is banished not be an outcast from him.


yet if they repent in the land where they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication to you in the land of those who carried them captive, saying, ‘We have sinned and have done perversely; we have dealt wickedly,’


The three broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, took it, and brought it to David; but David would not drink any of it, but poured it out to YHWH,


Jehoshaphat was alarmed, and set himself to seek to YHWH. He proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.


Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their adversaries, who distressed them. In the time of their trouble, when they cried to you, you heard from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviors who saved them out of the hands of their adversaries.


My friends scoff at me, as my eyes pour out tears to God.


For my sighing comes before I eat. My groanings are poured out like water.


He sings before men, and says, ‘I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it didn’t profit me.


“Indeed, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I put my hand on my mouth.


Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”


We have sinned with our ancestors. We have done wrong and acted wickedly.

My tears have been my food day and night, while people ask my all day long, “Where is your God?”


I am weary from my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. and drench my couch with tears.


Y’all should trust in ʜɪᴍ at all times, people. Y’all must pour out your* heart before ʜɪᴍ. God is a refuge for us. Selah.


Surely after that I was turned. I repented. After that I was instructed. I struck my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.’


Now in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem, proclaimed a fast before YHWH.


Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a spring of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!


My eyes fail with tears. My heart is troubled. My bile is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.


My eye pours down and doesn’t cease, without any intermission,


The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!


“Will you judge them, son of humanity? Will you judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers.


“Priests, y’all must listen to this! House of Israel, y’all must pay attention! House of the king, y’all must open your ears! For the judgment is against y’all; because y’all have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.


“Yet even now,” says YHWH, “y’all must turn to me with y’all’s whole heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”


“This is to be a permanent statute for y’all: on the tenth day of the seventh month, y’all are to humble your* souls and do no kind of work, both the native-born or a foreigner who resides among y’all;


“‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their ancestors, in their trespass which they trespassed against me; and also that because they walked contrary to me,


I will get up, go to my father, and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.


The children of Israel cried to YHWH, saying, “We have sinned against you, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.”


The children of Israel said to YHWH, “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, today.”


When the Angel of YHWH spoke these words to all the children of Israel, the people lifted up their voice and wept.


The children of Israel went up and wept before YHWH until evening, and they asked of YHWH, saying, “Should we go up again in battle against the sons of Benjamin our brothers?” YHWH said, “Y’all must go up against them.”


Then all the children of Israel and all the people went up, and came to Bethel, and wept, and sat there before YHWH, and fasted that day until evening; then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before YHWH.


The Spirit of YHWH came on him, and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and YHWH delivered Cushan Rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand. His hand prevailed against Cushan Rishathaim.


Hannah answered, “No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have not been drinking wine or beer, but I poured out my soul before YHWH.


Samuel called the people together to YHWH to Mizpah,


They cried to YHWH, and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken YHWH and have served the Baals and the Ashtaroth; but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve you.’


Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.
