He rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant, and then sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.


Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”


When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been sick for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to be made well?”


Staring at him in fear, he said, “What is it, Lord?” The angel told him, “Your prayers and your charitable deeds have gone up for a memorial offering before God.


When I had looked into it closely and considered it, I saw the four-footed animals of the earth, wild animals, reptiles, and birds of the sky.


Peter and John were going up to the temple for the time of prayer at three in the afternoon.


While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people ran, full of wonder, toward them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade.


When Peter saw this, he addressed the people, “Fellow Israelites, why do y’all marvel at this? Why do y’all stare at us, as though we made this man walk by our own power or godliness?


When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple, he asked to receive alms.


He gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
