In those days Hezekiah was terminally ill, and he prayed to YHWH, who spoke to him and gave him a sign.


then hear from heaven, even from your dwelling place, and do according to all that the foreigner calls to you for; that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by your name.


Let my prayer be set before you like incense; the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.


remember all your offerings, and accept your burned sacrifice. Selah.


Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Declare your case, that you may be justified.


I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness. I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Y’all should seek me in vain.’ I, YHWH, speak righteousness. I declare things that are right.


He said to me, “Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have been sent to you, now.” When he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.


He will bring it to Aaron’s sons, the priests. He is to take his handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense, and the priest is to burn its memorial on the altar, an food offering, of a pleasant aroma to YHWH.


Then those who feared YHWH talked to one with another, and YHWH listened and heard. A book of remembrance was written in ʜɪꜱ presence about those who feared YHWH and who honored his name.


Truly I tell y’all, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”


But she was deeply troubled at his words and began to wonder what kind of greeting this might be.


The women were terrified and bowed their faces to the earth. The men said to them, “Why are y’all seeking the living among the dead?


and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your charitable deeds have been remembered in the sight of God.


He was listening to Paul speaking, when Paul stared directly at him and saw that he had faith to be healed,


I said, ‘What should I do, Lord?’ The Lord said to me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus. There you will be told about everything that you have been appointed to do.’


Peter, along with John, fixed his gaze on him and said, “Look at us.”


But I have received everything, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what y’all sent. It is a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and pleasing sacrifice to God.


Y’all, don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your* requests be made known to God.


But y’all must not forget to do good and share in fellowship, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.


For God is not unjust. Hᴇ will not forget y’all’s work and the love y’all have shown toward ʜɪꜱ name by serving the saints and continuing to serve them.


The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended from the angel’s hand before God.


YHWH came, and stood, and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak; for your servant hears.”
