And when he had rolled up the book, he returned it to the minister, and he sat down. And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him.


Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe, you shall see the glory of God?"


Then, when Jesus had seen him reclining, and when he realized that he had been afflicted for a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be healed?"


And he, gazing at him, was seized by fear, and he said, "What is it, lord?" And he said to him: "Your prayers and your almsgiving have ascended as a memorial in the sight of God.


And looking into it, I considered and saw the four-footed beasts of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the reptiles, and the flying things of the air.


Now Peter and John went up to the temple at the ninth hour of prayer.


Then, as he held on to Peter and John, all the people ran to them at the portico, which is called Solomon's, in astonishment.


But Peter, seeing this, responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this? Or why do you stare at us, as if it were by our own strength or power that we caused this man to walk?


And this man, when he had seen Peter and John beginning to enter the temple, was begging, so that he might receive alms.


And he looked intently at them, hoping that he might receive something from them.
