While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared with the man called Judas, one of the twelve, leading them. He came near Jesus to kiss him,


Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.


While I was with them in the world, I protected them in your name. I have protected those whom you have given me. None of them is lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

But I don’t consider my life worth even a single mention. Instead I aim to finish my race and the deacon-work which I received from the Lord Jesus—to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
