“You are to observe a feast to me three times a year.


Three times in the year all your males must appear before Lord YHWH.


Three times in the year all your males must appear before Lord YHWH, the God of Israel.


Every year, Jesus’s parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover.


Three times in a year all of your males must appear before YHWH your God in the place ʜᴇ chooses: in the feast of unleavened bread, in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths. They must not appear before YHWH empty-handed.


The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.


So they set up for themselves Micah’s engraved image which he made, and it remained all the time that God’s house was in Shiloh.


They said, “Look, there is a feast of YHWH from year to year in Shiloh, which is on the north of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goes up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.”

So Hannah rose up after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his seat by the doorpost of the temple of YHWH.

So the people sent to Shiloh, and they brought from there the ark of the covenant of YHWH Almighty, who sits above the cherubim; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
