For I have not lived in a house since the day that I brought the children of Israel up out of Egypt, even to this day. Instead I have moved around in a tent and in a tabernacle.


Jeroboam said to his wife, “Please get up and disguise yourself, so that you won’t be recognized as Jeroboam’s wife. Go to Shiloh. Ahijah the prophet is there, who said that I would be king over this people.


Jeroboam’s wife did so, and arose and went to Shiloh, and came to Ahijah’s house. Now Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were set by reason of his age.


So Solomon thrust Abiathar out from being priest to YHWH, that he might fulfill the word of YHWH which he spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

They spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, “YHWH commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their pasture lands for our livestock.”


When the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.


However, if the land y’all possess is unclean, then y’all are to cross over to the land of the land YHWH possesses where the tabernacle of YHWH’s dwells and take possession among us. But y’all must not rebel against YHWH or rebel against us by building an altar other than YHWH our God’s altar.


The children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they owned, according to the commandment of YHWH by Moses.


So they set up for themselves Micah’s engraved image which he made, and it remained all the time that God’s house was in Shiloh.


They found among the inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead four hundred young virgins who had not known man in bed, and they brought them to the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.


They said, “Look, there is a feast of YHWH from year to year in Shiloh, which is on the north of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goes up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.”


When she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bulls, and one ephah of meal, and a container of wine, and brought him to the house of YHWH in Shiloh. The child was young.


This man went up out of his city from year to year to worship and to sacrifice to YHWH of Armies in Shiloh. The two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, priests to YHWH, were there.
