¶ Then the high priest rent his clothes saying? He hath blasphemed: what need we of any more witnesses? Lo, now have ye heard his blasphemy:


And lo certain of the scribes said in themselves, he blasphemeth.


ye have heard the blasphemy, what think ye? And they all gave sentence that he was worthy of death.


¶ There were certain of the scribes sitting, and reasoning in their hearts:


And immediately when Iesus perceived in his spirit, that they so reasoned in themselves, he said unto them: why think ye such things in your hearts?


And the scribes, and the pharises, began to think saying: What fellow is this: which speaketh blasphemy? Who can forgive sins, but God only?


And they that sat at meat with him, began to say within themselves: Who is this which forgiveth sins also?


The jewes answered him saying: For thy good works' sake we stone thee not: but for thy blasphemy, and because that thou being a man, makest thyself God.


say ye then to him, whom the father hath sanctified, and sent into the world: Thou blasphemest, because I said I am the son of God?
