¶ When the morning was come, all the chief priests and seniors of the people held a counsel against Iesu, to put him to death,


and brought him bound and delivered him unto Pontius Pilate the deputy.


which also said: ye men of Galile, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Iesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come, even as ye have seen him go into heaven.


They wondered all, and marvelled saying among themselves: Look, are not all these which speak of Galile?


After this man arose there up one Iudas of Galile, in the time when tribute began, and drew away much people after him. He also perished: and all even as many as harkened to him are scattered a broad.
