¶ When Iesus was born in Bethlehem a town of Jury, in the time of king Herod. Behold, there came wise men from the east to Ierusalem


¶ Mary arose in those days, and went into the mountains with haste into a city of jewrie,


And all that heard it wondered, at those things which were told them of the shepherds.


And they were ail amazed, and they lauded God, and were filled with fear, saying: We have seen strange things today.


And there came a fear on them all. And they glorified God saying: a great prophet is risen among us, and God hath visited his people.


This was known to all the jewes and greeks also, which dwelt at Ephesus, and fear came on them all. And they magnified the name of the Lord Iesus.


And fear came over every soul. And many wonders and signs were shewed by the apostles.


And great fear came on all the congregation. And on as many as heard it.


When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and gave up the ghost. And great fear came on all them that these things heard.


¶ And after iij. days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them. And they stood up upon their feet: and great fear came upon them which saw them.
