WHEN Jesus therefore was born in Bethlehem of Juda, in the days of king Herod, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem.


And Mary rising up in those days, went into the hill country with haste into a city of Juda.


And all that heard, wondered; and at those things that were told them by the shepherds.


And all were astonished; and they glorified God. And they were filled with fear, saying: We have seen wonderful things to day.


And there came a fear on them all: and they glorified God, saying: A great prophet is risen up among us: and, God hath visited his people.


And this became known to all the Jews and the Gentiles that dwelt at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.


And fear came upon every soul: many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and there was great fear in all.


And there came great fear upon the whole church, and upon all that heard these things.


And Ananias hearing these words, fell down, and gave up the ghost. And there came great fear upon all that heard it.


So Josue conquered all the country of the hills and of the south and of the plain, and of Asedoth, with their kings. He left not any remains therein, but slew all that breathed, as the Lord the God of Israel had commanded him,


But the inhabitants of the city of Gabaon which was besieged sent to Josue, who then abode in the camp at Galgal, and said to him: Withdraw not thy hands from helping thy servants: come up quickly and save us, and bring us succour. And after three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them. And they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon them that saw them.
