Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan,


and Og, king of Bashan, for His lovingkindness endures forever,


Be not far from me! For trouble is near— there is no one to help.

The land mourns and languishes; Lebanon is shamed and withers; Sharon is like a wilderness; Bashan and Carmel are shaken bare.


They made your oars from Bashan’s oaks. Of boxwood from the islands of Kittim they made your decks, inlaid with ivory.
