“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which Adonai your God is giving you.
The eye that mocks a father and scorns obeying a mother— will be pecked out by ravens of the valley and eaten by young vultures!
Then the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Adonai, by such things men live, and my spirit has life in them too. Restore me to health, and let me live!
