“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which Adonai your God is giving you.


“Whoever curses his father or his mother must surely be put to death.


Oy , to him who says to his father, “What have you begotten?” Or to a woman, “What have you born?”


Father and mother have been treated with contempt; the outsider has been oppressed in your midst; the orphan and the widow have been mistreated in you.
