Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is amazing in our eyes’?


Then Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”


Have you not read this Scripture: ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;


After looking around at them with anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out yoʋr hand.” So he stretched it out, and his hand was restored, as sound as the other.


As he drew near to Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it,


For I tell you that this Scripture must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was numbered with the lawless.’ For what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.”


Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter, and Peter remembered what the Lord had said to him, “Before a rooster crows, yoʋ will deny me three times.”


Then he said to them, “These are the words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”


But this has happened to fulfill what is written in their law: ‘They hated me for no reason.’


This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
