Remove from reproach and contempt: because I have sought after thy testimonies.


Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold I will lay a stone in the foundations of Sion, a tried stone, a corner-stone, a precious stone, founded in the foundation. He that believeth, let him not hasten.


Out of him shall come forth the corner, out of him the pin, out of him the bow of battle, out of him every exacter together.


For behold the stone that I have laid before Jesus: upon one stone there are seven eyes: behold I will grave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will take away the iniquity of that land in one day.


Jesus saith to them: Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? By the Lord this has been done; and it is wonderful in our eyes.


And Jesus looking round about, saith to his disciples: How hardly shall they that have riches, enter into the kingdom of God!


And have you not read this scripture, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is made the head of the corner:


And looking round about on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their hearts, he saith to the man: Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored unto him.


And when he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it, saying:


For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in me: And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning me have an end.


And the Lord turning looked on Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, as he had said: Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.


And he said to them: These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.


But that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law: They hated me without cause.


This is the stone which was rejected by you the builders, which is become the head of the corner.


Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone:


Wherefore it is said in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him, shall not be confounded.
