let us go out early to the vineyards, and see whether the vines have budded, whether the grape blossoms have opened and the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love.


In that day the branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be the pride and glory of the survivors of Israel.


Your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the land for ever, the shoot of my planting, the work of my hands, that I might be glorified.


to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.


Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trampled down my portion, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.


Yet I planted you a choice vine, wholly of pure seed. How then have you turned degenerate and become a wild vine?


Your mother was like a vine in a vineyard transplanted by the water, fruitful and full of branches by reason of abundant water.

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in their place to share the richness of the olive tree,


For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.


Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.
