And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.


And Solomon built Gezer, and Beth–ho´ron the nether.


So the Lord smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.


But the soldiers of the army which Amazi´ah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Beth–ho´ron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil.


Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.


For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favor unto them.


When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.

Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.


And the Lord delivered them into the hand of Israel, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Mis´rephoth–ma´im, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.

and goeth down westward to the coast of Japh´leti, unto the coast of Beth–ho´ron the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea.


And the border of the children of E´phra-im according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was At´aroth–ad´dar, unto Beth–ho´ron the upper;


and Kibza´im with her suburbs, and Beth–ho´ron with her suburbs; four cities.


And the Lord discomfited Sis´era, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sis´era lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.


But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Haro´sheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sis´era fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.


They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sis´era.


and another company turned the way to Beth–ho´ron: and another company turned to the way of the border that looketh to the valley of Zebo´im toward the wilderness.


Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Aze´kah, in Ephes–dam´mim.
