And in process of time the daughter of Shu´ah Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adul´lamite.


And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adul´lamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.


And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adul´lam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Reph´a-im.


And it fell on a day, that Eli´sha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that, as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.


He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.


Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
