He lived in the wilderness of Paran. His mother took a wife for him out of the land of Egypt.
They arose out of Midyan, and came to Paran; and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, to Par`oh king of Egypt, who gave him a house, and appointed him food, and gave him land.
They took their journey from Sukkot, and encamped in Etam, in the edge of the wilderness.
