*Come now, and let us reason together,* says the LORD: *Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.


let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.


The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?


See that you don't despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.


Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.*


But he answered his father, 'Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a mitzvah of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.


I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
