He lifted up his eyes and looked, and saw that three men stood opposite him. When he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth,


The two angels came to Sedom at evening. Lot sat in the gate of Sedom. Lot saw them, and rose up to meet them. He bowed himself with his face to the earth,


Avraham rose up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Chet.


He himself passed over in front of them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.


Yosef was the governor over the land. It was he who sold to all the people of the land. Yosef's brothers came, and bowed themselves down to him with their faces to the earth.

*'Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Shabbatot. I am the LORD your God.


*'You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God. I am the LORD.


Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
