Ephesians 6:1

and that Ya`akov obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Paddan-Aram 1.


Yisra'el said to Yosef, *Aren't your brothers feeding the flock in Shekhem? Come, and I will send you to them.* He said to him, *Here I am.*


Yosef brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.


His sons did to him just as he commanded them,


You came down also on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and mitzvot,


Ester had not yet made known her relatives nor her people, as Mordekhai had charged her; for Ester obeyed Mordekhai, like she did when she was brought up by him.


He sings before men, and says, 'I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it didn't profit me.


Therefore I consider all of your precepts to be right. I hate every false way.


LORD, I know that your judgments are righteous, that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.


The LORD's precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. The LORD's mitzvah is pure, enlightening the eyes.


My son, listen to your father's instruction, and don't forsake your mother's teaching:


Listen to your father who gave you life, and don't despise your mother when she is old.


There is a generation that curses their father, and doesn't bless their mother.


*The eye that mocks at his father, and scorns obedience to his mother: the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, the young eagles shall eat it.


My son, keep your father's mitzvah, and don't forsake your mother's teaching.


The words of Yehonadav the son of Rechav, that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their father's mitzvah: but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; and you have not listened to me.


Yirmeyahu said to the house of the Rechavim, Thus says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el: Because you have obeyed the mitzvah of Yehonadav your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you;


We have obeyed the voice of Yehonadav the son of Rechav, our father, in all that he charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters;


Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.


*'Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Shabbatot. I am the LORD your God.


And he went down with them, and came to Natzeret. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.


Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.


that you receive her in the Lord, in a way worthy of the holy ones, and that you assist her in whatever matter she may need from you, for she herself also has been a helper of many, and of my own self.


Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the mitzvah holy, and righteous, and good.


Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.


If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and, though they chasten him, will not listen to them;


But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.


Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
