Go and tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD, Shall you build me a house for me to dwell in?


He was an adversary to Yisra'el all the days of Shlomo, besides the mischief that Chadad [did]: and he abhorred Yisra'el, and reigned over Syria.


For he had dominion over all [the region] on this side the River, from Tifsach even to `Aza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had shalom on all sides round about him.


Shlomo's builders and Chiram's builders and the Givli did fashion them, and prepared the timber and the stones to build the house.


He struck the Pelishtim to `Aza and the borders of it, from the tower of the watchmen to the fortified city.


Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Shlomo, and I will give shalom and quietness to Yisra'el in his days:


There have been mighty kings also over Yerushalayim, who have ruled over all [the country] beyond the River; and tribute, custom, and toll, was paid to them.


In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of shalom, until the moon is no more.


Of the increase of his government and of shalom there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will perform this.


So the assemblies throughout all Yehudah and the Galil and Shomron had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.


Ashdod, its towns and its villages; `Aza, its towns and its villages; to the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border [of it].
