Your testimonies are my heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.


In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me.


I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?


To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!


If it had not been the Lord who was on our side— let Israel now say—


Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.


When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.


Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.


Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways!


“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth”— let Israel now say—


Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!


O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.


Remember, O Lord, in David’s favor, all the hardships he endured,


Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!


Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!


O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.


These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I would go with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God with glad shouts and songs of praise, a multitude keeping festival.


We used to take sweet counsel together; within God’s house we walked in the throng.


For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
